”Friendship isn’t a big thing – it’s a million little things,”. A group of friends, for different reasons and in different ways, are all stuck in their lives, but when one of them dies unexpectedly from suicide, it’s just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. The group comes together to mourn the loss of their friend and in the process are reminded of how their lives used to be before their secrets.
When Cam and Maggie hit a rough patch, he looks to Gary for relationship advice; Ron and Regina embark on a new venture together; Tyrell and Rome butt heads over Tyrell's college applications; Theo meets Greta in a chance encounter.
ABC announced today that A Million Little Things has been picked up for a fifth season. The good news comes ahead of next week's Season 4 finale, which airs on May 18.
The current season has hit series-low ratings, however, and it was deemed to be on the bubble for renewal. Season 5 will see the show's episode count nearly reach the 100-episode mark, but it will likely need a sixth season to achieve that milestone.
A Million Little Things follows a group of Boston friends who have known each other for 10 years since unexpected circumstances brought them together. Since then, they have all ended up feeling stuck in their lives for better or worse. After one of them unexpectedly passes away, it acts as a wake-up call for the others in the group to finally start living their lives to the fullest.
Look for Season 5 to premiere this fall as part of the 2022-2023 broadcast season.
