Timothy Julian Brooke-Taylor OBE was an English comedian and actor, known for The Rough With The Smooth, Hello Cheeky, The Goodies, The Kenny Everett Television Show, You Must Be The Husband, Bananaman, Me And My Girl, Barney, Tic and Heartbeat.

Father of Ben and Edward
Went to the United States with the Footlights stage show "Cambridge Circus" in 1964, and appeared on the "Ed Sullivan Show".
Was a regular on the BBC Radio programme "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue." Other cast members included 'Humphrey Lyttelton' (qv), 'Barry Cryer' (qv), 'Graeme Garden' (qv), and 'William Rushton' (qv).
Studied Law at Pembroke College at Cambridge University in England - swapping notes with his friend, 'John Cleese' (qv), who was also studying law.
He became a member of the prestigious Cambridge University Footlights Club, and, later, became President of the Footlights Club.
Rector of University of St Andrews, Scotland from 1970-1973
Was a cast member of the highly successful radio show "I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again". Other cast members included 'Bill Oddie' (qv), 'Graeme Garden' (qv), 'John Cleese' (qv), 'Jo Kendall' (qv), and 'David Hatch' (qv).
