Roxanne Marchand was born and raised (and still resides) in New Orleans and continues to pursue her film career there.
She has always had a fascination with the world of entertainment. She wrote, directed and starred in her first play at the age of 8 and continued on to do commercials, print work as well as stage and film acting.
Roxanne realized early on that she wanted to be behind the scenes and began writing and working toward her future goal of directing.
Roxanne was co-writer in 2006 for the first season of the ground-breaking pod-cast "Port City P.D." as well as the horror film "Butchered" set for release in 2009. Both were produced by Eleven Bravo Productions.
She is co-owner of we have no life Productions for which she has written and collaborated on several scripts that have been awarded at film festivals around the country. This includes the original screenplay, "The Penny", which was honored and published in short story form in the book "Family Movies Hollywood Didn't Make, But Should" released in 2007 and re-released in 2008.
Roxanne was hired as co-writer for the pilot "Baby Blues" an original television series produced by Sheffield Productions and, also in 2007, she was hired to co-create and co-write the original pilot and first season of the series "Future Glory", an original concept from Petit Productions.
She co-wrote the screenplay "I Wish!", a children's fantasy feature, which was optioned by Visceral Films in December 2007 to begin filming mid-2008 in Pittsburg.
Two short films, "I Do?" and "Undoing Time", co-written by Roxanne, were honored nationally in several film festivals in 2007 and 2008.
In 2008 she created and wrote the screenplay, "The Waters", a sci-fi, thriller, feature film which she will also be producer and director on the project.
She has several projects in development for 2009.
