BIOGRAPHY:

Robert Fredrick Paulsen is an American voice actor best known as the voice behind Raphael from 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', Yakko Warner from 'Animaniacs', Pinky from 'Pinky and the Brain', and 'Looney Toon' characters. In total, Rob Paulsen has been the voice of over 250 different animated characters and performed in over 1000 commercials. Robert began his voice over career on 'The Smurfs' animated television show as an extra in 1981. A few years later, his career launched into more substantial roles such as 'G.I. Joe' and 'The Snorks'. He had an impressive turn as the villain Jesse Blue in the series' Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs'.
During the 1980s Paulsen also explored the field of live action cinema. His first movie was 'Eyes of Fire' in 1983. Robert appeared in television shows during this time as well, such as MacGyver and St. Elsewhere. However Paulsen preferred to work on shows for children. He mentioned in an interview, regarding his role in 'Body Double', that he would not want his child to see the movie, so he could not really be proud of his work. Robert's first major role was in 1987, as Raphael in the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' television series. He also did a number of characters in Tiny Toon Adventures, including Fowlmouth, Arnold the Pit Bull, and Concord Condor.
Rob also currently does the roles of "Jack Fenton", "Box Ghost", and "Technus" in 'Danny Phantom', "Carl Wheezer" in 'Jimmy Neutron', "Mark Chang" and "Peppy Happy Gary" of 'The Fairly OddParents', and "Gordon" on the Nickelodeon cartoon 'Catscratch'. He was also the voice of “Rothchild” in the early episodes of 'Samurai Jack'.

TRIVIA:
  • Made an extremely rare public appearance with fellow voice actor 'Maurice LaMarche' (qv) at Comic-Con International 2002 at the invitation of fellow voice actor 'Mark Hamill (I)' (qv). He was given a 2-minute standing ovation upon arriving, and after calming down, the audience was treated to "Nations of the World," which he did with no mistakes. It was received with thunderous applause, and along with Maurice, they did many Pinky and the Brain impersonations. The impressions can be seen on the bonus disc of _Comic Book: The Movie (2004) (V)_ (qv). Rob Paulsen returned in 2003 for a live encore.
  • Idol is Detroit Red Wings' player Gordie Howe, who wears number 9.
  • In 1995, he was nominated for an Annie Award in Outstanding Individual Acheivement for Voice Acting in the Field of Animation for his work as Yakko Warner on _"Animaniacs" (1993)_ (qv).
  • Proud sponsor of Camp Will-A-Way, a camp for the mentally or physically disabled.
  • Best-known as the voice of Pinky in the animated TV show _"Pinky and the Brain" (1995)_ (qv).
  • Because he voices 'Jim Carrey' (qv)'s character of Stanley Ipkiss in the cartoon spin-off series _"The Mask" (1995)_ (qv), whenever a Jim Carrey movie is aired on television and needs to be edited for language content, Rob Paulsen is called upon to re-dub whenever Carrey is not available.
  • Known for ad-libbing in his voice-over readings.
  • 1994 - Did voices on the 'Buffalo Duck's Radio Ranch'
