Penny McNamee is one of Australia's brightest rising stars of stage and screen. A skilled actor and singer, Penny won the 2009 Green Room Award for her portrayal of Nessarose in the Australian premier production of 'Wicked!' Her latest work has seen Penny play the role of Hope in the Speilberg/Hanks mini-series "The Pacific" and most recently, the lead role of Carol in John Duigan's Australian feature film "Careless Love" due for release in 2012.Penny is also a star of musical theatre. Her first job out of high school was playing the lead role of Jennifer Gabriel in Cameron Macintosh's production of "The Witches of Eastwick" at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. She was nominated for a MO Award for this role at the age of 19.
Penny won the 2009 Green Room Award for Best Female in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Nessarose in the Australian Production of "Wicked!".
