Olivia Kate Cooke is an English actress, known for her starring role as Emma Decody in the A&E drama thriller series Bates Motel (2013–2017) and as Becky Sharp in the period drama miniseries Vanity Fair (2018).
Cooke appeared on the BBC miniseries Blackout and The Secret of Crickley Hall. She also appeared briefly in a One Direction music video. In 2014, Cooke appeared in the supernatural thriller The Quiet Ones, which she starred in alongside Jared Harris.
After a positive experience and reception with her work in England, she set her sights for Hollywood, quickly managing to land a role on the Psycho prequel Bates Motel. In between Bates Motel seasons, Cooke continued to act in movies, including the sci-fi thriller The Signal and horror flick Ouija, the latter of which she was the main protagonist. Cooke played the dying girl in Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, going to the extent of shaving her head for the role. She dabbled in voice acting for an episode of Axe Cop. Cooke was the female lead in 2017 Steven Spielberg film Ready Player One.
Olivia Cooke will portray the character of Sid Baker in the announced 2021 tv series Slow Horses and the character of Alicent Hightower in the 2022 pre-production series House of the Dragon.
