BIOGRAPHY:

Down achieved fame as Georgina Worsley in the ITV drama series Upstairs, Downstairs (1973–75). She received further recognition for her performances in the films The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), A Little Night Music (1977), The First Great Train Robbery (1979), Hanover Street (1979), Sphinx (1981) and Nomads (1986). She is also known as Madeline Fabray LaMotte Main in miniseries North and South (1985–86), for which she was nominated for Golden Globe Awards in 1986.
In 1990, Down played the role Stephanie Rogers in the CBS drama series Dallas. During 1997–99 she played Olivia Richards in the NBC series Sunset Beach. From April 2003 to February 2012, she portrayed Jackie Marone Knight in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

  • She is the mother of two sons - George-Edward, born c. 1998 from her marriage to 'Don E. FauntLeRoy' (qv), and Jack, born c. 1982 from her marriage to 'William Friedkin (I)' (qv).
  • She met future husband 'Don E. FauntLeRoy' (qv) when she was filming the miniseries _"North and South" (1985)_ (qv).
  • She lived with 'Bruce Robinson (I)' (qv) for ten years after meeting him at age 15. She came to America at age 17.
  • She spent her early childhood formative years in the Putney area of London, England and spent time with her uncle Michael, a major in the British army.
  • When she was filming _"Days of Our Lives" (1965)_ (qv), her father was due to leave to go back to England but suddenly had an angiogram, pains in his chest, resulting in a quadruple bypass operation.

  • Originally, 'Maud Adams' (qv) was to star in _The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976)_ (qv) but after she'd been filming for two days the role was recast for some reason and Lesley-Anne Down got the part instead.
