[none found]John Frederick "Fred" Dryer is an American actor and former American football defensive end in the National Football League. He is best known for Hunter, Crisis and Agent X.
TRIVIA:
- Due to the fact that the enormous Dryer is a foot taller than his "Hunter" co-star 'Stepfanie Kramer' (qv), she had to stand on an egg crate while they were in the same shot so that both of them could be seen.
- One of his college football teammates at San Diego State was 'Carl Weathers' (qv).
- Born on the same day as 'George W. Bush' (qv) and 'Sylvester Stallone' (qv).
- Father died of Lupus when Fred was 17.
- Nearly won the role of Sam Malone on _"Cheers" (1982)_ (qv), but lost it to 'Ted Danson' (qv) when the writers decided they'd rather have the owner of the bar be a baseball player instead of a football player.
- Has one daughter with his ex-wife 'Tracy Vaccaro' (qv).
- Member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
- Once promised to set his hair on fire in the end zone if he ever scored an NFL touchdown. Fortunately, never did.
