Eileen Grubba was born into a family of eight children in Anchorage, Alaska, but grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. A performer all her life, she began her professional acting career in Atlanta, Georgia where she trained at the Alliance Theater, sang in a choir, performed in musicals, and worked in commercials and Independent films. She moved to NYC where she studied at HB Studios, sang cabaret, and worked in TV and Film before moving to Los Angeles. She has since appeared in over twenty Independent films and in TV shows such as "Cold Case" (2003), "Nip/Tuck" (2003), "The Closer" (2005), "ER" (1994), "Monk" (2002), "Any Day Now" (1998), Fox's series "Ryan Caulfield: Year One" (1999), "Passions" (1999), "Port Charles" (1997), and "The Young and the Restless" (1973). She also worked opposite Russell Crowe and Jason Bateman in the star-studded feature, State of Play (2009).

Eileen is a lifetime member of the world renowned Actor's Studio where she has worked on stage with many of today's most skilled veteran actors. She has learned from such greats as Allan Miller (I), Barbara Bain, Mark Rydell, Lou Antonio and Martin Landau. On stage she has tackled many challenging roles in plays such as Arthur Miller (I)'s "After The Fall" and "Some Kind Of Love Story", Tennessee Williams's "Kingdom of Earth, and "The Glass Menagerie", David Mamet's "Reunion", John Patrick Shanley's "Four Dogs and a Bone", John Bishop (IV)'s "The Trip Back Down" and leads in many musicals including "Cinderella", "The Little Shop of Horrors" and "Dracula". Eileen recently received critical acclaim, by both BackStage West and the LA Times, for her portrayal of Eleanor in "Silent Heroes", directed by Carmen Maria Milito. Her favorite stage partner, veteran actor, Carmen Argenziano, refers to Eileen as "a force" on stage and on screen. Her stage work has been compared to theatre greats such as Geraldine Page and Kim Stanley (I), by members of The Actor's Studio, including Academy Award Winner, Martin Landau.

Eileen is also a creator, writer and producer who has two TV series and several feature films in development. One series is a scripted medical drama for which she has partnered with Emmy award winning producers Dan Angel and Billy Brown (I), and some of the world leaders in medicine.

With each project, she has deals in place to support her causes such as funding treatments for challenged patients, and moving our healthcare programs into the future. Her first completed script "Under The Pond" sold to Regent Entertainment. Eileen has an extensive resume in casting working for many network shows and multiple feature films. Her favorite project was casting the series, "The Miracle Workers" (2006) for ABC and Dreamworks, because the project was helping so many people. In May 2008 she cast the series "Outsider's Inn" (2008) for a team of producers from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000) and 'Renegade 83 Productions [us]'.

Perhaps what is most unique about Eileen is her extreme life experience and what she does with it. She overcame a deadly form of polio developed during childhood from a vaccine. She was told she'd never walk again, but today Eileen hikes mountains, and with her indomitable spirit, is a constant inspiration to others. The Polio was one of many challenges Eileen overcame. In May (2008) she was interviewed as a feature survivor story for The LiveStrong Foundation, and that video soon became their most viewed story. Eileen is often asked to speak at conferences, and with patients, about how to overcome life's challenges. A fighter all her life, she refuses to give up her quest to make a positive difference in the Entertainment Industry. She draws on her heavy life experience to create dramatic characters with gut-wrenching emotional depth and compassion, on stage, on screen and in her writing. Currently she is developing a sitcom called "She's A Trip" that finds humor in the tragedies of life which she hopes will inspire others who are faced with tremendous challenges and obstacles.

  • Many of her passion projects fund cancer research and treatments, because the family lost both their parents at early ages to cancer. They have also lost many relatives, and Eileen is a cancer survivor. This has also driven her to be environmentally active to promote a more healthy environment.
