Chris Marquette (born October 3, 1984) is an American film and television actor.
Personal life Marquette was born Christopher George Rodríguez in Stuart, Florida, the son of Patricia Helen "Tisha" (née Marquette) and Jorge Luis "George" Rodriguez, a nuclear engineer.[1] Marquette has two younger brothers, actors Eric Marquette and Sean Marquette. He supports charities such as the Sunshine Kids Foundation (to grant wishes of seriously ill, handicapped and abused children), Pediatric AIDS, and the Children's AIDS Fund.
One of his latest projects was Race To Witch Mountain, a modern-day reimagining of Disney's 1975 movie Escape To Witch Mountain in which Marquette played the character of Pope—a computer specialist out of MIT, helping the bad guys. Marquette starred alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Tom Everett Scott and Ciarán Hinds; the film was released March 2009. Marquette can also been seen as a guest star or regular on several TV shows, such as Strong Medicine, ER, Touched by an Angel, 7th Heaven, Miracles, Boston Public and Judging Amy. The latest guest roles include the Showtime TV series Huff; Christopher played James, a friend of Byrd's (Anton Yelchin, whom he also played alongside in Alpha Dog), in episodes Sweet Release, Bethless and Tapping The Squid (all aired 2006). In 2011 he appeared as Danny, a young homeless patient in the award winning medical drama House.

  • Was to appear in a 2007 remake of _Revenge of the Nerds (1984)_ (qv) starring 'Adam Brody (I)' (qv) but after three weeks of filming the project was canceled.
  • Performed Tiny Tim in "A Christmas Carol" at Madison Square Garden with actress Meredith Patterson.
  • In 2006 beat out 'Bo Barrett' (qv) for lead roles in "Revenge of the Nerds" (2007) and "Calvin Marshall" (2007), both of which were never completed.
  • In 1999, he attended his high school homecoming dance with fellow Disney Channel star 'Christy Carlson Romano' (qv).
  • Was born on the same day as 'Ashlee Simpson-Wentz' (qv).
  • He has an iguana named Wicket and a Persian cat named Patches. He now lives with his family in Los Angeles. He has two younger brothers, actors 'Eric Marquette' (qv) and 'Sean Marquette' (qv).
  • Recently promoted to full-fledged regular on _"Joan of Arcadia" (2003)_ (qv) (TV Guide Feb 14-20, 2004 issue).
