Robin Williams has brought joy and laughter into all of our lives, so it is only fair that we pay tribute to the great man who won the world's heart. Below I have compiled a list of some of Robin William's most memorable roles (there were so many it was hard to choose!) throughout time.

1. Mork & Mindy (1978-1982)

Robin Williams broke out into the business of entertainment with his role of Mork, an alien who comes from the planet of Ork. He co-starred alongside Pam Dawber. His first Emmy nomination was for the role.

2. Good Morning Vietnam (1987)

Robin Williams earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination and won a Golden Globe as his role of war DJ, Adrian Croanuer. The movie has earned a spot in the list of 100 best comedies.

3. Dead Poets Society (1989)

"Oh Captain, my Captain!" Williams played the role of Professor John Keating that touched the lives of a group of boys who he taught. Not only did it touch the lives of the people in the movie, but ours as well. The New York Times called his role "an exceptionally fine performance."

4. Aladdin (1992)

Who can forget that voice of the Genie? Since his death, there has been a photo swirling around the internet with the phrase "Genie, you're free."

5. Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Robin Williams played Mrs. Doubtfire herself and won a Golden Globe for it. Fox 2000 had a second Mrs. Doubtfire movie in the works since April of 2014.

6. Hook (1991)

Williams played the beloved role of Peter Pan. The film received five Academy Award nominations.

7. Good Will Hunting (1997)

Williams worked alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting. The movie grossed 225.9 million world wide. He also won an Academy Award in the category of best supporting actor for the role.

8. Patch Adams (1998)

In this movie, Williams was able to show off his amazing acting skills. Not only is he a great comedian, but he can play serious roles as well.

9. Flubber (1997)

Robin Williams

Any kid who grew up in the 90's knew that this movie was a staple in every kids life. Williams played the role of the professor who made Flubber.

10. Night at the Museum (2006)

Williams played the role of Teddy Roosevelt in all of the Night at the Museum movies.  The third film, Secret of the Tomb, will be released in December of this year.
