Fresh off her stint as April O'Neil in June's release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Megan Fox has reportedly signed on for a major story arc in the sixth season of New Girl.

Of course, this won't be a new role for Fox; the actress originally guest starred on the hit comedy last season, playing Reagan Lucas. And fans should be aware that though the character will be present in the latest season, she most likely won't show up until midseason. Megan Fox is due (any day now) to give birth to her third child with Brian Austin Green, making her currently unavailable.
Fox has made quite a name for herself, starring in a handful of summer action flicks, including Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, she actually began her career on TV.

After a handful of guest appearance, Fox landed a leading role on ABC's Hope & Faith. She replaced Nicole Paggi after the first season, and went on to star in 48 episodes over the course of two years, alongside Kelly Ripa and Fiath Ford. During her time on the show, she also played opposite Lindsay Lohan in Disney's Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
Fox then found fame in the Michael Bay blockbuster, Transformers (and its sequel), as well as Jennifer's Body and This Is 40.
For her role on The New Girl, she'll join Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, and Lamorne Morris. The show, which debuted in 2011, has been a hit amongst both fans and critics. Particularly, Deschanel's perforce has been praised, as she has gone on to receive an Emmy Award nomination, as well as a Golden Globe nom.
The New Girl's sixth season will premiere in the fall of 2016.
