At 32, Diem Brown, reality star lost her long, brave struggle with colon cancer. She passed away Friday, November 14th in New York city at 10:22 am, after a third diagnosis this past summer. Brown was in the middle chemotherapy treatments, and her healthy drastically deteriorated earlier this week. She previously conquered the ovarian cancer in 2006 and 2012.
In 2006, Brown made her debut appearance on MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat, during which she announced her diagnosis at age 24. She appeared on a total of 7 seasons of The Challenge.
In 2012, after her second diagnosis she said, "My doctor just called me and I have Cancer again. Didn't think ovarian cancer could come back… I know I will be fine I beat Cancer once and I'm going do it again! I know God has a reason for every speed bump in life and I'm ready." In February 2013 after chemotherapy she was declared cancer-free.
The reality star was also an entertainment reporter, and founder of MedGift in 2013- a charity where people could donate to medical patients. After her third diagnosis, her own page raised almost $75,000. This time the cancer spread to her colon and stomach lining; but she remained in high spirits, saying, "I'll beat cancer again. I'm a warrior."
She was a fighter, warrior, and determined to live. Her last Twitter posts embody her tough spirit:
I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing!
