If you've been paying attention to the entertainment industry the past few years (even just vaguely), then you're most likely familiar with Anna Kendrick.
The actress first hit the scene with a minor role in 2008's Twilight. She appeared in three of the franchise's sequels, before going on to make a name for herself in films that include Up in the Air (her performance in the drama landed her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2010), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and What to Expect When You're Expecting. Then, in 2012, Kendrick starred in a musical-comedy that would help establish her as an A-list celebrity: Pitch Perfect. The sequel was released last summer, with a third flick scheduled to hit theaters in 2017.
But Anna Kendrick may have a new role to pursue …Squirrel Girl.

Edgar Wright, who happened to direct Kendrick in 2010's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (the pair also used to date), recently implied with a personal tweet that the actress needs her own Squirrel Girl movie. Anna Kendrick responded, and then the two went back and forth to jokingly predict who the character would battle if a film where to develop.
That's right, there's no live-action Squirrel Girl flick planned, but Wright and Kendrick seemed to have a fun time discussing the possibilities of the Marvel Comics character coming to life.
The actress, previously seen in July's Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, will be back on the big screen this fall, starring opposite Ben Affleck in the action-thriller, The Accountant. She'll follow that project with November's animated flick, Trolls, alongside Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, Russell Brand, and Gwen Stefani.
If a Squirrel Girl film based on the comic books were to materialize, would you go see it? And do you think Anna Kendrick would be the right actress to play the part?
