Main Characters in this Episode
Marge Simpson: Are you sure? Maybe it's just shampoo. That washes right out.
Barney: Oh ho, oh yeah. We all had a good laugh, Moe.
Moe: The results came back today.
- Goof (continuity error): Mr. Smithers has a severe and almost instant allergic reaction to a single bee sting, which he claims "cause him to die." However, in the season 3 episode "Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk," when visiting Mr. Burns while he is beekeeping, he mentions that several bees are stinging him, but with no apparent ill effect.
- There was a lengthy segment involving Marge getting taken hostage that was shown on commercial previews and announced in that month's Bongo Comics but that was never included in the final broadcast version.
- After the success of this episode, the producers briefly considered a spin-off series focusing on the series' supporting characters. But they decided against it.
- Outside of the Treehouse of Horror series, this is the fourth episode in the series with an on-screen title. The others are The Telltale Head from Season 1, Bart Gets Hit By A Car from Season 2, and The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular from Season 7.
