- This episode was a pilot for a possible spin-off television show starring returning "Rockford Files" characters Marcus 'Gabby' Hayes (Louis Gossett Jr.) and Gandolph 'Gandy' Fitch (Isaac Hayes) as a pair of private investigators- one a smooth talker (Hayes) and the other the muscle (Fitch). The show was not picked up.
