Emmy(c) Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) continues to shine in this comedy from Kari Lizer (Will & Grace) as divorced working mom Christine Campbell, successfully juggling the daily stresses of motherhood and owning a women's gym with her best friend, Barb (Wanda Sykes, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Life got more complicated when she met her ex-husband's new girlfriend, a nice, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine -- "new" Christine. When "old" Christine sees her ex has moved on with his life, she realizes it may be time to take that same leap.
Season three features recurring guest stars Blair Underwood (Dirty Sexy Money, Something New, L.A. Law) as Mr. Harris, a teacher at her son's school whom Christine has a romantic relationship with; Dave Foley (NewsRadio, The Kids in the Hall); and Andy Richter (Andy Richter Controls the Universe). Plus, in a hilarious turn, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) guest stars as Christine's gynecologist.
This disc is expected to play back in DVD Video "play only" devices, and may not play in other DVD devices, including recorders and PC drives.

Just as funny as the first season of the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, this second season features 22 hilarious episodes of social and sexual tension as only Julia Louis-Dreyfus can deliver them. Old Christine's relationship with her ex-husband Richard (Clark Gregg) and his new girlfriend New Christine (Emily Rutherfurd) may be leveling out, but there's lots to add: The continued scorn of the meanie moms at her son Ritchie's school, the lure of the new and very hot teacher Daniel Harris (Blair Underwood), brother Matthew's new aspirations to make something of himself, her friend Barb's marital problems and burgeoning interest in Christine's business, and several questionably compatible dates, including New Christine's father Jeff (Scott Bakula), making the scene ripe for love, misunderstanding, and a host of inappropriate remarks and actions. The sense of sincerity and genuine awkwardness in Dreyfus' Emmy-winning portrayal of Old Christine makes this series incredibly funny, and good writing ensures that viewers can relate to Christine's every predicament; whether she's propositioning Ritchie's new teacher, seeking casual sex with Stan the Sad Dad, or dealing with her own inability to get a good night's sleep. Bonus features include unaired scenes on each of the four discs and a blooper gag reel. --Tami Horiuchi

Now, there's a kick in the self-confidence: Single working mom Christine Campbell has just learned that her ex is dating a much-younger woman with the same first name. To avoid any confusion, everyone calls one woman New Christine and the other Old Christine. You can guess which is which. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' hilarious and insightful performance in the title role won fans and earned her the 2006 Emmy as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Christine struggles to hold it together as she adjusts to her new nickname, confronts the meanie moms at her son's private school, jumps back in the dating pool with a post-bikini bodÄand gets laughs every misstep of the way. You go, -old" girl!
