The Leftovers

What if your life was upended in an instant? What if your spouse or your child disappeared right in front of your eyes? Was it the Rapture or something even more difficult to explain? How would you rebuild your life in the wake of such a devastating event? These are the questions confronting the bewildered citizens of Mapleton, a formerly comfortable suburban community that lost over a hundred people in the Sudden Departure.

The Leftovers Renewed For Final Season

HBO announced today that The Leftovers has been renewed for a third and final season. The drama recently concluded a sophomore run that saw it lose half its viewers from Season 1 despite garnering higher critical praise.
“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome back Damon Lindelof, Tom Perrotta and the extraordinary talent behind The Leftovers for its third and final season,” said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo in a statement.
Look for Season 3 of The Leftovers to premiere in 2016.

SPOILER: For season 2, each episode title is either a word/phrase that a character says to another or is an object that has a central focus of the plot. The only exception is the episode titled No Room at the Inn, which is an obvious reference to the fact that Mary is pregnant and her and Matt cannot return or get access to the inside of Jarden.
