Episode Quotes

Brad Wheeler: Dell, I've been thinking. Now, you've had a thing for Elizabeth for a long time. Why don't you get married. Make an honest woman of her... then, you two could go on a honeymoon and just stay there.
Jack McGee: I know a lot about this creature. Maybe I can help.
Sheriff Carl Decker: You mean the circulation of your paper. Go on, get outta here.
Jack McGee: Sheriff, I think you must know a little something about the laws in your county. The press has some rights.
Brad Wheeler: Well, what do you think?
Dell Frye: I think you'd better leave me alone, Brad.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (revealing mistake): Obvious stunt double each time Del Frye is being hit by Brad Wheeler.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Frye's Creature knocks down the tree, the prop line pulling the tree down is visible.
  • Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: At the climax, when Frye's Creature throws the hypo with Banner's cure to smash against a wall, David screams "No!" with one open-handed arm outstretched, and his eyes have turned white (Bill Bixby's special contact lenses are in place) to indicate the initiation of metamorphosis into the Hulk. However, David now leans against a wall sobbing for many seconds, eventually showing his face, and more significantly his white eyes, at which point the Hulk-out sound effect plays and the metamorphosis truly begins. At the time of filming the team hadn't made up their collective mind as to which way was more dramatically effective so shot both, and somehow both ended up on the air.

Trivia

  • SPOILER: In Andrew Schneider's original script, Banner does not transform into the Hulk until Frye's Creature destroys the x-ray machine. He then stops Frye when the creature lunges towards Elizabeth. This explains Elizabeth's line at the end about the Hulk saving her life. There was also originally a scene where Magee snoops through the Clive house and finds the laboratory, which explains how he knew about the lab.
