Episode Quotes

Carlton Banks: [to Philip] You started coming to my games only after Will joined the team.
Philip Banks: I wanted to support Will.
Carlton Banks: But you wouldn't come when it was just me.
Philip Banks: Carlton, I'd like to come to everything you do. I always come to your tennis matches, to your glee club concerts, to your debate matches. Frankly, keeping up with your extracurricular activities is a 24-hour a day job.
Phillip Banks: Do I have to remind you that this is a living room? What if I went into your room and started throwing chalk around?
Will: I'd be devastated.
William 'Will' Smith: [to Carlton] You should be the happiest guy in the world.
Carlton Banks: Yeah, why?
William 'Will' Smith: Because you got out of that locker room alive. Coach Smilie was upset. You're lucky it was just a starter's pistol.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (revealing mistake): At the start of the basketball game near the end of the show, you get a glimpse of the top of the gymnasium set and stage lights.
  • Goof (continuity error): Carlton and Will are drawing on the basketball chalkboard, teasing each other about their height, brain size, etc. The circle that represents Carlton's big brain changes between shots.
  • Goof (factual errors): Towards the end of the game at the end of the episode, the coach calls a timeout (makes a "T" with his hands to signal it). But when the referee gives him the timeout, he also makes a "T" with his hands to (wrongly) signal a timeout. In reality, when the ref makes a "T" with his hands it signals a technical foul, so the ref actually slapped the coach with a technical foul.
