Each episode of this TV series depicts a short, strange tale...with a twist! With eerie stories vaguely reminiscent of 'The Twilight Zone,' viewers learn to appreciate that things are often not as they seem. The usual plot formula is comprised of an initial normal, mundane situation that gradually begins to get off-kilter, with suspense building up to the final, chilling, surprise conclusion
A wrestler seeking one great opponent finds himself tricked into fighting a demon from Hell.
The show had 4 seasons and 90 episodes air between 1983 and 1988.
The CW To Revive 'Tales From The Dark Side'
The CW, in conjunction with 'Sleepy Hollow' and 'Fringe' producers Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, is preparing to revive '80s staple 'Tales from the Darkside.' The shows revival will maintain the classic 30-minute anthology format, with a new story and new characters every single week and award-winning author Joe Hill ('20th Century Ghosts,' 'Heart-Shaped Box,' 'Locke & Key'), will pen at least the pilot episode of the series. The new 'Tales from the Darkside' is being eyed for a possible summer 2014 run.
