“SIX” follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, modern American warriors, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists. Inspired by real missions, the series authentically captures the inside world of America’s elite Special Operations unit - what these SEALs do, their personal lives, combat and the life-and-death decisions they make to protect and serve their country.
History announced today that its new original series Six has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama, which is inspired by true events, premiered last month for an eight-episode run that will conclude on March 8.
Through its first four weeks on the air, the series has delivered strong ratings for the cable network with an average of 2.9 million total viewers (Live+3). Its solid performance gives History another formidable original series to join the successful Vikings, which is going into its fifth season.
