Season 3 Quotes

03x02 - The Sign of Three Season 3 / Episode 2: - The Sign of Three

Major Reed: Is that what this is all about? Distracting me so he could kill Bainbridge?
Sherlock Holmes: Kill him with what? Where's the weapon? Go on, search me - no weapon.
Major Reed: You obviously stabbed him before he got into the shower.
Sherlock Holmes: No.
Major Reed: No?
Sherlock Holmes: He's soaking wet and there's shampoo in his hair - he was stabbed when he was already in the shower.
Duty Sergeant: It was locked from the inside, I had to break it open.
Dr. John Watson: Private Bainbridge just got off parade five minutes ago - when's this supposed to have happened.
Major Reed: You obviously climbed over the top.
Sherlock Holmes: Then I'd be soaking wet too, wouldn't I?
03x01 - The Empty Hearse Season 3 / Episode 1: - The Empty Hearse

Sherlock Holmes: What about John Watson?
Mycroft Holmes: John?
Sherlock Holmes: Have you seen him?
Mycroft Holmes: Oh, yes! We meet up every Friday for fish and chips.

  • Episode 02 - Goof (factual errors): In the stabbings of both victims John and Sherlock are both heard to say that the victims were stabbed "in the abdomen" or "in the stomach". However when the villain is shown committing his crime, he is clearly stabbing both of them in the back.
  • Episode 01 - SPOILER: Writer Mark Gatiss is a known admirer of Clive Barker's work and has narrated the "Books of Blood" series for BBC Radio. The episode contains references to the series; the London Underground scenes are influenced by the 'Midnight Meat Train' (a boy disa
