Season 1 Trivia

  • Episode 03 - The music used in the Planetarium presentation on Jupiter is from The Planets suite by Gustav Holst, but it is the second movement ("Mars, the Bringer of War"), not the fifth ("Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity").
  • Episode 03 - Goof (factual errors): It's a common movie myth but firearms cannot be used to set off plastic explosives, which require an electric detonator to explode. It is also very unlikely that a semtex explosion could be mistaken for a gas mains explosion (by an expert), as they have entirely different profiles.
  • Episode 02 - Goof (continuity error): When Sherlock and Watson first get to the bank, the time for New York is 7:45, then when Sherlock is trying to find out who the message is for, the time for New York is 7:20.
  • Episode 03 - Goof (factual errors): The Museum curator's name is said to be Wenceslas, which Sherlock thinks is Czech. Wenceslas, however, is an English transliteration of the Czech name Vaclav. Additionally, Wenceslas/Vaclav is a first name, not a surname. The name was possibly chosen for its connection specifically to Bo
  • Episode 02 - Goof (continuity error): When Sherlock enters the lounge with Detective Inspector Dimock the forensic analyst who is passed the plastic bag has a mask on his neck, it disappears after he walks out of the shot.
