SCORPION, inspired by a true story, is a high-octane drama about eccentric genius Walter O’Brien and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age. As Homeland Security’s new think tank, O’Brien’s “Scorpion” team includes Toby Curtis, an expert behaviorist who can read anyone; Happy Quinn, a mechanical prodigy; and Sylvester Dodd, a statistics guru.

Walter O'Brien is a genius with a 197 IQ who in the pilot is struggling to keep his small company Scorpion afloat. He is the leader of "Team Scorpion", a team of his genius friends that assist in solving complex problems.
Walter also shares a past with Agent Gallo who brought him from Dublin, Ireland to America after Walter hacked into NASA computers to get a set of blueprints for his wall and then worked with him for several years. Walter split with Gallo around age 16 when 2,000 civilians were killed after the U.S. bombed Iraq using software Walter provided for what he had originally thought would be used for humanitarian purposes.
