Key & Peele To End This Season

t is being reported that Key & Peele is coming to an end after its current fifth season. Star Keegan-Michael Key broke the news to TheWrapyesterday, confirming that the show was not cancelled, but rather he and co-star Jordan Peele wanted to start exploring other things in their careers. He also mentioned the possibility of a Key & Peele movie down the road.
The sketch comedy series premiered on Comedy Central in 2012, where it quickly made its mark as the network's most-watched series launch since 2009. By the time it concludes in September over 50 episodes will have aired. And with a growing number of Emmy nominations in each of the last three years, the series will be ending on a creative high.
