02x17 - You've Been Disconnected Season 2 / Episode 17: - You've Been Disconnected

Ginger Grant: [Gilligan & Skipper are collecting natural gas. Ginger arrives and finds Gilligan on the ground, out cold] What happened to Gilligan?
Jonas 'The Skipper' Grumby: Oh, I told him there was gas in the bottle, but he didn't believe me, so he uncorked the bottle and took a big sniff... [the Skipper duplicates these actions, then gets a really goofy expression on his face and starts dancing]
02x32 - Meet the Meteor Season 2 / Episode 32: - Meet the Meteor

Jonas 'The Skipper' Grumby: [Coming outside to Gilligan after he woke up from the dream and had tried to get the lightning rod to the meteor, but tripped and inadvertently threw it and it stuck in the meteor] Gilligan! Are you okay?
Gilligan: Yeah I'm okay!
Jonas 'The Skipper' Grumby: Where's the lightning rod!
Gilligan: I don't know! I tripped and it flew out of my hand and I don't know where it landed!
Jonas 'The Skipper' Grumby: [Points] LOOK! [Cut to the meteor, where the lightning rod has attracted a bolt, which after a few seconds, helps to blow up the meteor] Oh my goodness! That lightning bolt blew it into a million pieces!

Season 2 Trivia

  • Episode 26 - This episode could be the one to answer the age-old question of why the castaways never built a raft to get off the island (or why the Professor wasn't smart enough to do so), as the raft that was built for Mr. Howell to get back to civilization immediately sank when he put out to sea.
  • Episode 09 - Goof (miscellaneous): When they are making toasts with the vodka and touch drinking cups, although the cups are visibly hollowed-out coconuts they may a distinct clinking sound of ceramic.
  • Episode 14 - Goof (factual errors): A World War II mine does not have enough magnetic force to pull Gilligan and Mr. Howell to it by their jewelry.
  • Episode 09 - In this episode, the cosmonauts snuck vodka in their capsule. It was revealed years later this actually occurred on some Soviet Space missions.
  • Episode 12 - The three-man folk singing group The Wellingtons sang the theme song for the first season, but were replaced by a similar sounding group, The Eligibles, for the following seasons. The Wellingtons (plus one) also portrayed 'The Mosquitoes' in this episode of the series.
