Episode Quotes

Richard Castle: A washed up sitcom star hanging from a hook? Does it get any better?
Kevin Ryan: I grew up watching this show. Charlie Reynolds is highly underrated as an actor. "2 Cool For School" is a timeless gem.
Javier Esposito: Uh, I seriously doubt that. [Beat] Not that I ever watched it.
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Mr. Castle! You're back. But not by popular demand.
Richard Castle: Nice to see you too, Perlmutter.
Kevin Ryan: Do you have a time of death for us?
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Uh, between 7PM and 2AM. The cause is obvious. He plummeted off the roof and landed on the hook.
Javier Esposito: Possible suicide.
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Based on the crane's distance from the building and signs of struggle on the roof, he was pushed.
Hank Harper: Charlie was a great kid, a real pro. Working with him reminded me of the pictures I did with Pacino.
Richard Castle: You worked with Al Pacino?
Hank Harper: Barry Pacino. No relation. Every bit as talented. And taller.
Richard Castle: If you have such a high opinion of Charlie, how come you're already replacing him?
Hank Harper: Look, you gotta understand, there's a lot of money at stake here. The show must go on.
Richard Castle: Ah! I've been there. My book "Naked Heat" got made into a movie a few years back.
Hank Harper: Didn't that go straight to DVD?
Richard Castle: There were script issues.

Richard Castle: And casting issues, and directing issues.
Richard Castle: Playing the anonymous source card? I mean, that is pure genius. It... it actually makes me love you more.
Kate Beckett: Well, she's filing for asylum, and the State Department's gonna help relocate her. So, hopefully, that'll keep her safe.
Richard Castle: Yeah, but even working for the feds, you... you found the ultimate way to honor the victim. Charlie died trying to get Svetlana away from her dangerous family. You completed his mission.
Kate Beckett: Yeah, but you would've done the same thing, Castle.
Richard Castle: Yes. Yes, and I would love me more for doing it, too.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Most of the six people in the warehouse put their prints on the cases or the contents thereof, compromising evidence.
  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Beckett and McCord find Esposito, Ryan, and Castle in the warehouse, Beckett doesn't recognize the trio until they turn around. Surely she would be able to recognize her fiancé, if not her longtime partners, from behind.

Trivia

  • The TV show and reunion movie that this episode is about are based off of the 1990s TV hit Saved By The Bell. When the CIA agent tosses his badge to Esposito, he calls Esposito Mario Lopez. Mario Lopez was one of the stars of Saved By The Bell.
  • A special feature included on the season six DVD set is an audio commentary for this episode by Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas in character as Ryan and Esposito.
  • SPOILER: Final appearance of Rachel McCord, Beckett's partner at the A.G.'s office. Two years later, in ""Castle" (2009) {XX (#8.2)}", Beckett learns that an inquiry into criminality connected to Senator Bracken she made shortly after starting her job in D.C. has led to McCord's murder.

Well, I thought Beckett was going to quit, but getting fired is just as good. Let's get back to the original players and plots. Thank God!!!!!
