Actress Isabelle Fuhrman began her acting career before she'd even reached double digits, appearing in TV commercials in the early 2000s. In 2007, the 10-year-old was cast in the controversial movie Hounddog, and by 2009, she accepted the terrifying starring role in the horror film Orphan.
Isabelle Fuhrman(born February 25, 1997) is an American actress. Fuhrman is best known for playing the role of Esther in Orphan (2009).
Personal lifeIsabelle Fuhrman was born in Washington, D.C.but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.Her mother, Elina Fuhrman, is an award-winning journalist, and her father, Nick Fuhrman, was at one time the chairman of the Republican Partyin Dane County, Wisconsin.She loved acting from a young age. Isabelle plays guitar and is an excellent singer.CareerFuhrman starred as Esther in the 2009 film Orphanin which she received critical acclaim. Her other movie credits include 'Grasshopper' in the 2007 film Hounddog,the role of Gretchen Dennis (aka Girl Ghost) opposite Jennifer Love Hewitton the hit TV show GhostWhisperer, Grace O'Neil in the pilot episode of the 2006 television series Justice,and a number of national commercials like Pizza Hut and K-Mart. Her performance as Gretchen Dennis inGhostWhispererearned her a Young ArtistAwardnomination.Fuhrman takes acting very seriously and also said she plans to stay in the acting business for a long time.
OTHERIsabelle loves animals. She has two dogs (Lilly and Jennings) and had a hamster named Lola that she carried around everywhere. She took her hamster to the Sundance Film Festival in 2007 for the premiere of her film, Hounddog (2007). Lola passed away in July 2009.
