McCouch eventually decided to leave the show to pursue a film career in Los Angeles, the actor starred on "Legacy" (1998) where, on the set in the pastoral backdrop of Richmond, Virginia, he fell for co-star Sharon Leal, but things fell apart soon after he followed Leal to San Francisco for her run in Rent. He also starred in "All Souls" (2001) where he became good friends with cast mate Daniel Cosgrove and appeared with him on _"Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990 . His film credits include the movie-of-the-week Sins of the Mind (1997) (TV), the blockbuster-hit Armageddon (1998/I), Airtight (1999) (TV), and Momentum (2003) (TV), co-starring Louis Gossett Jr. and Teri Hatcher.

Grayson resides in New York while he works as the character Dustin "Dusty" Donovan on "As the World Turns" (1956).
