Colin Ferguson (born July 22, 1972) is a Canadian film and television actor, director, and producer, who is probably best known for playing Sheriff Jack Carter on Syfy original series Eureka, and for playing Lewis on Then Came You.
He was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, and is a graduate of Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, and McGill University in Montreal.Since he was born and raised around Montreal which predominantly speaks French, he is bilingual speaking both French and English.
Although he was born in Canada and therefore a Canadian citizen, he is also a citizen of the United Kingdom, and recently became a naturalized citizen of the United States.
Ferguson was a member of the Montreal improv group On the Spot.He has been cast in many television series, television movies, and films, ranging from The Opposite of Sex to The Stupidest Angel. He was the lead for Eureka, a Syfy original series broadcast between 2006 and 2012. He was also a guest presenter for sci-fi news show HypaSpace.He is a Montreal Canadiens fan and periodically blogs for NHL.com. On September 5, 2011, Ferguson appeared on the podcast Disasterpiece Theatre to discuss what Eureka might look like if directed by Michael Bay.In January of 2014, he was announced as the new Maytag Man.
