Will Jennifer Aniston Do It?

Is the Friends star serious about her latest announcement?

Jennifer Aniston has done it again . . . starred in a hit movie, that is. Her latest comedy to hit theaters, Office Christmas Party, debuted well, grossing a respectable $17.5 million domestically its opening weekend. However, the actress made a recent announcement (sort of) that really has everyone talking!

Whether you're a fan or not, you're familiar with Jennifer Aniston's work. She made her film debut in the embarrassing horror flick Leprechaun, but the actress managed to bounce back with Friends, which not only allowed her to become a household name, but quite wealthy, too. During the final two seasons of the hit show in which the star portrayed Rachel Green, she earned $1 million an episode. Aniston also won a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe for her comedic acting chops.

Lately, the actress is more known for her film roles. Since Friends ended in 2004, Aniston has headlined a variety of films (both hits and misses), including Rumor Has It, Marley & Me, He's Just Not That into You, Horrible Bosses, and Cake, for which she gained widespread acclaim.

However, could Jennifer Aniston actually be returning to her roots? Is the star considering a move to television?

To promote Office Christmas Party, the actress made the media rounds, and appeared on Chelsea Handler's Netflix show Chelsea. During the interview, the real life friends discussed the possibility of Aniston returning to television, in which the actress implied it was already in the works.

Does that mean us die hard fans can start celebrating?

Not yet! While nothing is official, Aniston did praise television, referring to the fantastic writing and opportunities for women. And it wouldn't be quite a stretch to see the A-lister make the move, as many stars already have or are in the process of doing the same thing, including Nicole Kidman, Glenn Close, Reese Witherspoon, and Vince Vaughn.

What are your thoughts? Would you welcome Aniston's return to television?
