Disney Orders a New 'Lion King' Spin-off Show

Hooray! I remember watching The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, and The Lion King 1 1/2, but now Disney is expanding their Lion King enterprise even further (we didn't think it could be!)

The Lion King

Disney Channel will be airing a new television cartoon called The Lion Guard. The show will pick up where we last left off. Nion, Simba and Nala's second born, will be featured in the show. The show name, The Lion Guard, comes from a pack that Nion is the leader of. The Lion Guard pack is in place to guard Pride Rock. Don't forget about Kiara (from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride) who will be featured alongside her brother. Lions won't be the only animals in the show. A honey badger, cheetah, and a hippo will be included too.

Lion Guard Disney Channel Series

Disney is getting a little help from animal experts from Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Some key lessons in the show will be conserving wildlife and taking care of the beautiful place we call home.
