- First time this film was going to be filmed in 1959 with Glenn Ford. Production was delayed, and Elvis Presley was consider as co star. In 1964 Dick Van Dyke was consider for the leading role.
- On its theatrical release, this was part of a double bill with The Green Slime (1968).
- Elvis Presley and Vincent Price never met.
